Why I am not able to login to VM using RDP on Windows VM? What could be the reason as I did not do any custom settings after and during VM creation?

Hi @Mytoast Admin ,

please take a look here: Troubleshoot Remote Desktop connections to an Azure virtual machine

Also please check if RDP is allowed in the Network Security Group (NSG) associated with the Azure VM and/or the subnet the VM is connected to.

It worked before? Or connecting via RDP doesn't work from the beginning (after deployment of the VM)?

It never worked for me and not sure why but it works on Azure Bastion so thats strange.

Hi @Mytoast Admin ,

if Bastion is working ... how do you try to connect?
From "outside" (internet, Public IP of the VM) or "inside" (from another Azure VM or from an on-premises computer using a VPN Gateway)?

I am trying to connect via Internet with public IP address of the VM and not VPN or any other VM

Another strange behavior is when I assign "Virtual Machine User Login" role to AAD user account to login work account credentials its also not working.

Ideally it should work

Please ensure that the credentials you entered match those provided during the virtual machine creation.

If you are the administrator of the VM, attempt a password reset. Otherwise, please contact your administrator. For better clarity, please provide a screenshot of the error message.
