Tried the old ways to uninstall Edge on WIndows 11 24h2. They include setup.exe --uninstall, etc.

Unsuccessful. Would someone recommend a method that does not include some 3rd party software to uninstall Edge?

In Windows 11, Microsoft Edge is tightly integrated into the operating system, making it difficult to uninstall using traditional methods.Since Edge is considered a core part of the system, Microsoft has made it challenging to remove. However, you can disable or hide it effectively without third-party software, although a complete uninstallation isn't officially supported.

    Hi Stan,

Thanks for your post. Based on my research, you can uninstall the Edge by the following way.

    1. Press Windows Key + R and type regedit
    2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Microsoft Edge
    3. Go to NoRemove and change the value to 0
    4. Open the control panel, go to programs and features and select uninstall a program. Click the Edge and select Uninstall.

    Best Regards,

    Ian Xue
