Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Platform! Thank you for asking your question here.
Resizing a disk on Azure can enhance both storage capacity and application performance. With the Live Resize feature now in preview, you can dynamically adjust the size of your disks without interrupting your application. This allows you to start with smaller disks to manage costs effectively and increase their size as your data needs expand, all without experiencing any downtime.
The Live Resize feature is available for both Premium SSD and Standard SSD disks. Enabling Live Resize itself does not incur any additional costs. However, you will still be billed for the disk storage capacity and IOPS based on the size of the resized disk.
For AKS Persistent Volumes (PVs), the cost structure remains the same. You will be charged for the storage capacity and IOPS used by the PVs, regardless of whether you utilize the Live Resize feature or not.
