Hi,
recently we see the client freezing after disconnecting a session.
if you try to reconnect to the session or start another session, you get the message that you may not be able to connect because of unsufficient virtual memory.
In the Taskmanager you can see that the process msrdc.exe is still open 2 to 3 minutes after disconnecting.
Is that an known issue which will be targeted? The problem is still present in the newest insider build.

Joe Durnal 10 Reputation points2024-09-04T16:19:34.31+00:00 My customer seems to be having a similar if not the same issue with their Azure Virtual Desktop environment. Currently using client version 1.2.5620.0 (x64).
It is sometimes associated with the error message pop up:
Remote Desktop This computer can't connect to the remote computer.
The problem might be due to low virtual memory on your computer. Close your other programs, and then try connecting again. If the problem continues, contact your network administrator or technical support.
Other issues that seem to be related are:
User authenticates with the remote desktop app, then double clicks their application group icon and there is no response, nothing seems to happen at all. We see in the WVDFeeds log the feed refresh, but nothing else after that.User logged into more than one host pool, disconnecting from one causes the other to freeze for a period of time, but it does seem to come back.

Stefan Peters 20 Reputation points2024-08-29T11:12:36.36+00:00 Same here, for an interim role I use a W365 workplace, the Remote Desktop and the Windows App have the same issues. After disconnect (because the W365 locks automatically) I need to end-task msrdc.exe or reboot my laptop to be able to login again.
Several clients of me also report issues like this. It seems that this is not an isolated issue and needs to be addressed by Microsoft asap.
