Azure Migrate Assessment For Resources on prem & in azure

Hello Team,

I have 2 scenarios:

Scenario 1 - We have on prem infra in which we have Kubernetes cluster , SQL on VM and IIS Server.

We are looking to move Kubernetes to azure Kubernetes services(AKS) , SQL on VM to SQL Single DB(PaaS) and IIS server to Azure App Services.

Question- Can Azure migrate Assessment help me assess the exact worker node size in AKS , What tier of SQL Single DB(STD , Premium etc) vcore , DTU to be used and same thing for APP Services?

Scenario 2 - We have infra in azure also running primarily on IaaS(VM) for IIS , SQL etc. We are looking to move them to PaaS (APP Services , SQL DBaaS).

Question - Can I use azure migrate assessment to get the recommendation on the service type and size(exact vore/DTU) to be used and how the migration process will look like?

    Azure Migrate is a great tool to help you move to Azure.

    For Scenario 1 (on-prem to Azure): It gives initial sizing for AKS, SQL, and App Services. You might need minor tweaks.

    For Scenario 2 (IaaS to PaaS in Azure): It suggests the right services and sizes. Testing after migration is key.

    In short, it’s a solid start, but some fine-tuning will be needed.
