Had to pick a tag, couldn't find a fitting one

I have gotten a request to set up 2FA for a azure tenant - but the mail does not specify which, it only provides the id d036e2e2-be33-4b01-b509-5e335bdc37d8 which to me as an end user means nothing. Can you elaborate which tenant this is regarding ?

excerpt from mail

You’re receiving this email because you’re a global administrator for d036e2e2-be33-4b01-b509-5e335bdc37d8

Starting 15 October 2024, we will require users to use multifactor authentication (MFA) to sign into the Azure portal, Microsoft Entra admin center, and Intune admin center. To ensure your users maintain access, you’ll need to enable MFA by 15 October 2024.

    Hi @Lars Knudsen

Thank you for posting this in Microsoft Q&A.

Certainly! Here's how you might address this issue and clarify which tenant is related with the ID:

    Cross-Reference in the Azure Portal:

    1. Log in to the Azure Portal: Navigate to the Azure Portal and enter your credentials.
    2. Go to Azure Active Directory: From the left-hand menu, select Azure Active Directory.
    3. Find Tenant Information: Locate the Tenant ID in the Overview section. You can check this ID against the one provided in the email (<tenant_ID>).
    4. Verify renters: If you manage numerous renters, repeat the process for each to determine which one matches the provided ID.

Hope this helps. Do let us know if you any further queries.

    Thanks,

    Goutam.
