The "Audio Seconds Transcribed" metric doesn't show data

Hi,

I'm having problems with the "Audio Seconds Transcribed" metric in the Speech Service transcription. I'm using the /speechtotext/v3.2/transcriptions endpoint on a Standard (S0) subscription, but Azure doesn't report any seconds transcribed at all. I'm not sure what I'm doing incorrectly, I do have a log storage enabled for the resource group

What you are trying to achieve ?

What do you mean by doesn't show data ? Could you please share the complete screenshot?

I am able to see the data as shown below from my resource. Is that the time in seconds you are referring to ?

Sure, we are using Speech-to-text service to transcribe multi-channel OGG files for our clients

We'd like to know exact number of seconds transcribed in order to bill the clients

As you can see on the screenshot, successful calls have data points (e.g. 3), but Audio Seconds Transcribed have 0 value constantly (even though there were transcriptions made during that time). I have attached a bigger screenshot

Yes, that's what I refer to and that's what I don't see in our panel

@rafaljanicki This is a quick update from the Product Owners.

This is being discussed internally. We don't have an ETA on the fix. I will keep you posted on the updates as I hear from them.

Workaround:

However, until this issue is fixed, for more fine-grained control, I would suggest to use the per-file or per-transcription-request durations that are part of the transcription result. The per-file durations are contained in the downloaded transcription result as the .duration field, and the per-request result is in the .properties.duration field of the API response when getting a transcription result.

@rafaljanicki Please let me know if you had a chance to look at my above suggestion and try it.

The Product Owners are still working on the fix and there is no ETA on when this would be fixed.

Hey @navba-MSFT , the suggestion works, we were able to implement it as a workaround for the issue. I'll be waiting for the update though, thank you!
