Azure Backup - MARS Agent - On-Premises File Level Restore Very Slow

I am currently restoring files and folders of my on-premises server. I have mounted the drive containing the backup files and currently in the process of copying them over. I've used a few different methods, including the recommended Robocopy but all methods are extremely slow. To copy 12 files, each 500KB-1MB in size and the time to copy was about 3.5 minutes. Restoring a few thousand files will take days at this point.
Is this normal for this to be this slow? Is there anything I can do?
There is no throttling set and my network bandwidth is much larger than it appears this restore is taking advantage of...I've also tried a volume restore but after several hours it just fails with "unable to complete the operation in the allotted time".

Are you trying to restore the files and folders to the original location or to an alternative location?
Are there any other backup/anti-virus software running on this machine?
Are you able to perform backups successfully without any issues?
Is MARS agent running on an Azure VM?
Suggestions:
Ensure that you are using the latest version of the MARS Agent. Updates often include performance improvements and bug fixes.
Make sure that your server’s operating system is up to date with the latest patches and updates.
Go to Job Details from the MARS agent console and check the status to see if it says Transferring data (unoptimized, may take more time). If this is the case, you can switch to optimized mode to improve performance.

- No other backup software is running. Antivirus is installed. Disabled and tried to copy files but same outcome
Are you able to perform backups successfully without any issues?
- All backups show successful and I can mount the backup and all the file are there
Is MARS agent running on an Azure VM?
- No. This is on an on-premises machine
I am on the latest version of the MARS agent. I also attempted to restore the same backup but from another machine and it is still very slow. I checked the console and it does not reference "unoptimized" or "optimized" during restore operations.

Recommend you reach out to Azure technical support team by raising a support request. The ticket enables you to work closely with the support engineers and get a quick resolution to your issue.
