    Hi @Chris Ho

Glad to hear this issue has been resolved and thanks for your sharing!

However, due to a recent update in forum policy, the question author now is not able to accept their own answers.

So I have written a brief summary of the solution this issue. Please feel free to accept it as the answer, which would benefit others who also has similar issues in forum.

    Issue:

Using a 3rd party email client (already linked to Microsoft outlook) received the error:

A high-severity alert has been triggered

⚠ User restricted from sending email

    Solution:

    • Workaround 1: Select the vendor's company server (checkbox) so that the email will still be send out.
    • Workaround 2: Use a different SMTP email to setup in the 3rd party apps.

    Thanks for your sharing.

My issue was due to using a 3rd party email client (already linked to Msoft outlook)

I thought users need to get Microsoft to approve the 3rd party. In fact, after communicating with the vendor founder, the workaround was 1. to select their company server (checkbox) so that the email will still be send out. 2. use a different SMTP email to setup in the 3rd party apps.

I chose the AWS SMTP in the end. No more hindered by policy.

    Thanks everyone.

provision Tenant Account - is for new user. Not for 3rd party apps.
