How to activate windows storage server r12 after hardware change

Recently the hard drive in a Thecus Window Storage Server R12 will not boot. After downloading the Window Storage Server R12 software on to a USB drive and booting the server from the USB drive the server it will not accept the Product Key. The server will not boot, and we cannot get access to the data stored on the Thecus Server. How do we activate the window storage server R12?

    Would you please share us more details of the issue?

    Do you mean you are performing a clean installation after hardware change and the new installation will not accept the previous product key?

    If that it the issue, we may consider to ask for help from the license team. Replacing the hardware especially the motherboard, we may need a new product key.
