Azure Migrate IIS error how to fix it

The error you're encountering indicates that the Azure Migrate configuration server setup is unable to proceed because it detects that there are websites configured in IIS on the server where you're trying to install the configuration server. Azure Migrate requires that the default IIS website is available and unconfigured for it to use during the installation process.

Please follow the steps suggested below and see if that resolves the issue:

Before making any changes, it's important to back up your IIS configuration to avoid accidental data loss. You can do this using the appcmd command or IIS Manager.

Open Services (you can type services.msc in the Run dialog).

Find and stop the World Wide Web Publishing Service (W3SVC) and any other related IIS services.

1. You need to remove or disable any existing websites configured in IIS on the server. This can be done through the IIS Manager:
   • Open IIS Manager.
   • In the left-hand Connections pane, expand the server node.
   • Select the existing websites one by one and either stop them or remove them.
2. Make sure that the default website is available and not being used by any other application. The default website should be in its default state without any custom configurations.
3. After making these changes, restart IIS to ensure that the changes take effect:
   • Open a command prompt with administrative privileges.
   • Run the command: iisreset
4. Once the default website is available and no other websites are configured, re-run the Azure Migrate setup. It should now be able to proceed without any issues.
