Hi all,

I can open an excel file (.xlsm) in onedrive browser, but when i try to open it in excel desktop. It pops out the following message box. After I press yes to recover, it says the file is corrupt.

However, when i try to do it in browser, i can open it without any difficulty. Is there any way to solve the problem?

I also tried safe mode with no success. I also used the open and repair, but still failed.

    Hi,

Where did you save the file? Did you open from the OneDrive directly?Or did you download the file to local?

I suggest you refer to this support article and check if this problem is related to the security in Office:

I tried to repair the Microsoft office. Then I can now open the so-called "Corrupt files".

P.S. I have tried logging in other people's computer using my microsoft id, but I cannot open the excel. Unless I used other people's log in, then I can open excel.
