The diagnostic settings storage retention feature of Azure Monitor will be retired, i am sending logs into log analytics workspace via diagnostic settings. for log analytics workspace also retention will no longer be applied?

right now, in project, only from one azure web app logs are sending via diagnostic settings into log analytic workspace. and not into storage account. hence as per my observation no changes are required.

but still i have doubt as they clearly mention "the diagnostic settings storage retention feature of Azure Monitor will be retired" so whatever we get logs from web app into log analytic workspace it will retain or not?

    The retention settings for Log Analytics workspaces remain unchanged. You can still manage and configure retention directly within the Log Analytics workspace.

    No changes are required, and your log retention settings within the Log Analytics workspace will still apply.
