Hi Team,

We have been using Azure OpenAI Studio to configure private data stored in an Azure Blob Storage container. Typically, when setting up the "Add Your Data" feature from Azure Blob Storage and selecting a daily or hourly index schedule, it used to create an additional index with an "index-chunk" name and two indexers.

But now when configuring data from Azure Blob, only one index is created, even if the hourly or daily index schedule is selected.

lakshmi , Apologies for the deployed response.

Based on my understanding of your scenario description, I understand you are encountering an issue with the automatic indexer creation in Azure OpenAI Studio and you have tried couple of things to fix the issue. Just to highlight:

    1. Please ensure that the indexer configuration is set correctly. Verify that the schedule is set to something other than “Once” to enable automatic updates.
      if the still still persists,
    2. As outlined in the following doc - Review the logs for any errors or warnings that might indicate why the indexer is not being created as expected. You can find these logs in the Azure portal under your AI Search service, in the ‘Indexers’ tab

Troubleshooting common indexer errors and warnings in Azure AI Search

    1. We have similar discussion - If the indexer schedule is not updating automatically, try manually updating the schedule. Set the update interval to a shorter period (e.g., every 5 minutes) and see if the indexer starts working.

Kindly let us know, I'll be happy to follow-up further.
