Hi,

I've deployed Windows 11 in cloud and installed VMware Workstation 17 (upgraded it to the latest version). I've tried to run Linux VM(Ubuntu) on VMware but I keep getting error as mentioned above.

I've tried:

  1. Disabling hyper-v from "Turn Windows Features on or off"
  2. Disabling Device Guard
  3. Executing Disable-WindowsOptionalFeature -Online -FeatureName Microsoft-Hyper-V-All
  4. Executing DISM /Online /Disable-Feature:Microsoft-Hyper-V
  5. Executing bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off

P.S. I've restarted hosted Windows 11 after running all commands.

Still, problem persists every time I'm trying to run machine. Please, help me in solving this problem.

Best regards,

Ash A

    Hi Ash,

    Hope you're doing well.

    1. Disable device security features:

    (1) Open Settings.

    (2) Select Update & Security.

    (3) Select Windows Security.

    (4) Select Device Security.

    (5) Under Core Isolation, select Core Isolation Details.

    (6) Turn off Memory Integrity.

    1. If the incompatibility issue still occurs, it is most likely a product issue.
    2. Make sure you are using the latest version of VMware Player, as updated versions may include compatibility fixes for Hyper-V.

    Best Regards,

    Ian Xue
