Hi,

I've got issues trying to install Windows Defender to an on-prem Windows 2016 server by using Powershell. According to logs found in C:\Windows\Logs\CBS when searching for ERROR 0x80073701, we are missing KB5005043 from the server.

KB5005043 is no longer available on the Microsoft Update Catalog however, & trying to install later patches KB5012596 and KB5039214 haven't proven effective here.

Is there anywhere else I can download KB5005043? Any help would be appreciated thanks.

    Hello,

Unfortunately, KB5005043 is no longer available on the Microsoft Update Catalog, and it seems that later patches haven't resolved the issue for you.

I couldn't find a direct download link for KB5005043 in the available resources. However, here are a few suggestions that might help:

Windows Server Forums: Sometimes, other users might have faced similar issues and found solutions. You can check forums like Microsoft Q&A or other tech forums for any shared experiences or solutions.

Enterprise IT Support: If your organization has an IT support team, they might have access to older updates or alternative methods to resolve this issue.
