We recommend switching from using service tags (like AzureUpdateDelivery and AzureFrontDoor.FirstParty) to application firewall rules.

We don't use the Azure Update Delivery service tag, but we do use the following three service tags. Should I change this to FQDN?

・AzureCloud

 gcs.prod.monitoring.core.windows.net

 mrsglobalsteus2prod.blob.core.windows.net

 wvdportalstorageblob.blob.core.windows.net

・WindowsVirtualDesktop

 *.wvd.microsoft.com

・AzureFrontDoor.Frontend

 catalogartifact.azureedge.net

Azure Firewall
Azure Firewall
An Azure network security service that is used to protect Azure Virtual Network resources.

    @t-tateno ,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Platform. Thank you for reaching out & I hope you are doing well.

I understand that you would like to know if there are any changes to the following service tags

    • AzureCloud
    • WindowsVirtualDesktop
    • AzureFrontDoor.Frontend

From the Azure Service Tags document,

    • I see only the Azure Update Delivery service tag used for accessing Windows Updates is marked for deprecation and in the future it will be decommissioned.
    • None of the above mentioned tags indicate any deprecation.
    • So, you can continue to use the service tags without any issues.

Kindly let us know if this helps or you need further assistance on this issue.

    Thanks,

    Kapil
