Had the same issue - happened after the recent update, gave me the error:

    something-went-wrong- 9n156

tried all the cache tips BUT ultimately I just made a new profile (Profiles menu>create profile) and it started to work fine!

Then went back to the original profile (mine was All Accounts) and it's still fine. Hope this simple fix helps

Which Outlook for Mac and Mac OS version are you using?

Are you using Legacy or New Outlook for Mac?

Have you tried add your Office 365 email accounts in Outlook for Mac using Microsoft Cloud? See https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/add-email-accounts-in-outlook-for-mac-using-microsoft-cloud-6eba6aa5-3e23-45b3-aba1-bceb41aba78e

    Hi @Dirk Human

    Welcome to our forum!

How did you add your account? Could you describe more?

And what is the version of your Outlook for Mac? Please make sure both your Outlook and macOS are up to date. And you can update Outlook by going to the Help menu and selecting "Check for Updates."

Based on my research, it will take a little time to verify your account for the first time, therefore, please be patient and ensure that your email address and password are correct. Sometimes, incorrect credentials can cause this error.

In addition, please refer to the link to have a try.User's image

    Hope it helps!
