Hi,

I have a previous employee who was fired and had the authenticator on her phone for three company accounts based in South Africa, this ex employee also has the admin rights.

I tried to contact her but she has not replied which is not surprising given how she left.

So I have an account and emails that is going to her phone to authenticate. How can I get this reset please, I understand this is done for security but it seems incredibly difficult to do, but I would have thought being a business account there would be an easy route to do this?

Please help.

Thank you.

    Hello Giles Ison,

You should have a global administrator or an admin with the necessary privileges, immediately remove the user’s access to your organization’s resources or re-register MFA for the account.

    • Sign in to the Azure portal.
    • On the left, select Entra ID > Users > All users.
    • Choose your account->select Authentication methods and click "Require re-registration for MFA".
