Embedded Shared Calendar in SharePoint not displaying all events

Hi All,

My company has a shared calendar on Outlook that we use to display events, annual leave etc. We have it embedded on our SharePoint hub page through the embed web part and it only displays the events up to the end of October and not past that. How do we fix this?

    Hi @Wojciech,

Thank you for posting in this community.

This can happen due to several reasons, such as browser compatibility issues, web part configuration problems, or even recent updates to SharePoint.

Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

    1. Update Embed Web Part Settings: Edit the web part settings to ensure everything is configured correctly. Sometimes, reapplying the settings can fix display issues.
    2. Try removing the Embed web part from the page and adding it again.
    3. You may need to check the permissions of the shared calendar in Outlook and ensure that it is set to allow access to the necessary users.
    4. Are other users facing the same problem? View through another computer or account.
    5. Whether all SharePoint pages have the same problem? You could create a new SharePoint page to check.
    6. Check if the same issue occurs with other SharePoint sites.
    7. You could try to clear browser cache then restart it.
    8. Try to use a different browser or your browser's InPrivate mode to see if the same error occurs.

    Hi @Wojciech,

I'm sorry, but I still haven't found the cause of the problem. Embedding Outlook's mail into SharePoint page is not the recommended way to sync calendars in SharePoint, so this can cause some problems.

But here's an alternative that might satisfy your current method of syncing calendars from Outlook to SharePoint. Here's how it works: we're going to add a SharePoint calendar to Herbst and connect it to Outlook so that you can see it in Outlook as well, and the events will be automatically synced over two days. The events in the calendar are then shown through Events web parts.

    Here are the detailed steps:

    1.Hub site >site content >New app >Classic experience >Add a calendar.

    2.Open SharePoint calendar >CALENDAR >Connect to Outlook.

3.You can see the SharePoint Calendar you created in your outlook. You can try adding your events from October here. You can try adding your events from October here. Events are automatically synchronized to SharePoint Calendar.

4.On the page select the Events web part and choose the SharePoint Calendar you created and select the time interval.

Hope this alternative can be helpful to you.

    Hi @Hi @Wojciech,

    Thank you for your reply.

We can embed the calendar into our page via Embed Web Part. Edit the properties to add your SharePoint Calendar URL. Like this:

    https://yourTenantName.sharepoint.com/sites/yourSiteName/Lists/yourSharePointCalendarName/calendar.aspx

This is the presentation of the Calendar:

    Hope this helps.

    Hi @Wojciech,

    Thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately, SharePoint's calendar can only show content within a month. If you need content from other months you need to switch the month manually. This is due to the design of SharePoint, and we can't change it at the moment.

There are actually many Calendar Apps in the SharePoint App Store and they are available as SPFx created Apps that can be added to SharePoint. You can see if there is a Calendar App for you here, for example SharePoint thym Calendar can show events by quarter.
