According to official Microsoft documentation, Microsoft OneNote free for desktop is available for all supported Windows versions. As it seems, OneNote free for desktop is based on Microsoft 365, like a free, reduced version, of Microsoft 365. We know that personal and home editions of Microsoft 365 are not supported on Windows Server 2022, only professional versions. On the link provided it says OneNote free for desktop is instalable on any supported Windows edition. Would this also include not just standard Windows editios, but also server or embedded editions of Windows?
My main concern is not already in support Windows Server editions, but Windows Server 2025, that seems to reach GA pretty soon. From Microsoft statements, it seems that Microsoft 365 shall be supported on it for the mainstream support period of the Windows Server editions, but it is not clearly if this is for offline installed apps or just for those that accessed remotely or an cloud. And it is not clearly if OneNote free for desktop would be available or supported on Windows Server 2025. Since the public preview of Microsoft Office 2024 does not seem to installable on WS 2025, there is a chance that Microsoft 365 apps shall not installed locally, offline. And there is also the chance that OneNote free for desktop shall be supported on WS 2025. So, my guess is that, if OneNote free for Windows desktop is supported on Windows Server 2022, there is a greater chance for it to be supported on Windows Server 2025. So this is why I ask: Is OneNote free for desktop supported on Windows Server 2022?
