ECONNRESET error with a Custom Teams bots

Yesterday, we started to see errors with our custom Teams bots across a number of our environments. The error message in all cases was the same:

https://smba.trafficmanager.net/uk/v3/conversations/{{CONVERSATION-ID}}/activities/{{ACTIVITY-ID}} failed, reason: read ECONNRESET

Up until yesterday, the Teams bots were working fine with no issues. I ran a diagnostics tool on the underlying app service which suggested the slow response of the URL above. I confirmed this by checking our application insights instance that is connected to the service to confirm the findings and discovered that in some scenarios, it was taking up to 1 minute to respond.

Were there any issues with the smba endpoint yesterday at all? I upgraded all my application packages last night to test and it did start to work from about 7pm BST, but upon checking on other bots that I hadn't upgraded, it was working the as well.
