Can't enable security defaults because i have CAs, Can't delete CAs because i have EntraID Free.

As the enforcement of MFA for admin portals approaches, I'm encountering an interesting issue.

I previously had EntraID P2, but I now have the EntraID Free version.

My tenant still lists two Conditional Access (CA) policies from when I had the P2 license. Currently, I need to enable security defaults to enforce MFA for my Global Administrator account. However, I can't enable security defaults because the CA policies are still in place, and I can’t delete these policies since I'm no longer subscribed to P1 or P2.

How can I resolve this dilemma?

    Thank you for posting this in Microsoft Q&A.

    I understand that you want to activate security defaults in your tenant. however, it appears that your tenant is still listing two conditional access policies.

    With global administrator permissions you can be able to delete existing conditional access policies that you have configured earlier. You can't modify existing policies if you don't have premium license.

    Try to remove the current policies. If you are still facing issues, please share the conditional access policies that have been enabled in your Tenant.
