I'm using a managed disk as storage for a kubernetes pod (postgres). Is there any way to explore and change the contents of the disk from the outside?

    @RdJNL
    Managed disks cannot be opened or browsed from the outside, you need to be logged into the VM to view the contents. If you wish to view and change the contents of the disk you could use SFTP to login and browse the folders.

    Hope this helps. Let me know if you have further questions or issues.

    @RdJNL You can export the vhd and mount it to something local to take a look at the contents. Other than that, there isn’t a way to look at the contents through the portal or Azure CLI if that’s what you are getting at.

    Hope this helps!
