I have graduated University more than 6 months ago. Suddenly I got some invoices from Azure regarding storage etc. I had worked with my personal account on some Azure stuff, so I didn't look into to it that much. But couple of months ago I stopped using Azure Cloud, but still got invoices. I compared the tenant-id in the invoice and my personal tenant-id in Azure, it's different. So, the only option left is my school account. I contacted the University to get the account back. But they have since changed the domain of the email address. Now, when I login it says the following:

Sorry, but we’re having trouble signing you in.

AADSTS51004: The user account xxx does not exist in the tenant-id directory. To sign into this application, the account must be added to the directory.

This tenant-id does match with the one in the invoice. Can someone please help me?

The AADSTS51004 is an error message code that happens when a user account does not exist in a specific directory. Based on your description, you got deleted from the tenant. It could also be that you need to be invited again

Since the school has changed the domain, I would recommend you contact the IT department. They could restore access to your previous account associated with the old domain or help you migrate to a new account under the updated domain or your personal email.

+if you recieved an email on your personal account another possibility may be that you simply just try and sign in from your personal mail via an incognito tab first.

You can mark it 'Accept Answer' and 'Upvote' if this helped you

    Regards,

@Kevin Mout Apologies for the delayed response, It sounds like you are having trouble accessing your Azure account associated with your university email address. Since the domain of the email address has changed, it's possible that your account has been deleted or deactivated by the university.

To resolve this issue, you will need to contact the IT department or helpdesk of your university and explain the situation to them. They should be able to assist you in recovering your account or creating a new one.

If your account has been deleted or deactivated, they may need to create a new account for you and transfer any resources or services associated with your old account to the new one.

Once you have access to your university Azure account, you can check the billing and subscription details to ensure that you are not being charged for any services that you are not using.

Let me know if you have any further questions, feel free to post back.
