how to create dynamic reports for multiple values in PowerBI?

The module in the Power BI training path to create dynamic reports for multiple values does not have enough proper steps that could allow us to create functions.

Please explain the exact columns and values that need to be the excel worksheet before we can pull the data in Power BI.
