AKS NAP (preview) not working

• Ensure that all prerequisites for Node Auto-Provisioning (NAP) are met. This includes having the correct Azure CLI version and the aks-preview extension installed and updated.
• Make sure the NodeAutoProvisioningPreview feature flag is registered and the Microsoft.ContainerService provider is refreshed. You can use the following commands:

    az feature register --namespace "Microsoft.ContainerService" --name "NodeAutoProvisioningPreview"
    az feature show --namespace "Microsoft.ContainerService" --name "NodeAutoProvisioningPreview"
    az provider register --namespace Microsoft.ContainerService
  

• The error message “Node not registered with cluster” suggests that the node might not have been properly registered. Ensure that the node registration process is completed. You can check the status of node claims and node pools using:

    kubectl get nodeclaim
    kubectl describe nodeclaim <nodeclaim-name>
  

• Check the logs and events for any errors or warnings that might provide more insights into why the node is not registering.
