Update the ACE Modules to SPFx v1.18?

Hi,

I don't have a question really, just the issue that it took me a bit to realize that the Learn documentation has not yet upgraded to SPFx v1.18. For anyone else trying the module, they may run into some things that are no longer present or are different (e.g. the cardButtons are gone - https://video2.skills-academy.com/en-us/sharepoint/dev/spfx/viva/get-started/migrate-to-spfx-1-18#migrate-card-views-to-new-base-class-and-configuration-model). I just wanted to point this out to anyone else starting this module.

Hi Rakesh,

Certainly. I was working through the Create Adaptive Card Extensions (ACE) for Microsoft Viva Connections module. In Unit 3 when creating a card, the old templates are gone and you have Generic, Search, and Data Visualization (Preview). It also references the cardButtons and data methods which are now combined into get cardViewParameters. Then, in Unit 5, which is as far as I've gotten, I needed to use the Generic card and make changes to the cardView.ts class to convert it to an Image card. I'm still working through that unit to figure out how to show multiple buttons.
