Lost a disk on a domain controller with FSMo roles

Hi,

A disk on one of our domain controller failed where there are sysvol folder?

what we should do to remediate the situation ?

    Hi,

    If there is a backup of this DC and you can fix the disk issue quickly you restore the domain controller (full restore).

    If there is no backup of this domain controller , you have to

    1. Perform metadacleanup of failed DC
    2. size fsmo roles hosted on impacted DC to another DC, you can use powershell command to perform this actions
    3. When you fix the disk issue , you have to build the server to be able to promote it again as domain controller
