How to remote desktop with the new Windows Apps

Hello, I see the new Windows Apps can't do a simple "remote desktop", why removing this critical feature , and how should we do it now please ? Thanks

The Microsoft Remote Desktop app will be replace by Windows Apps that is not allowed to do RDP :

Hello,

So, with a Windows PC, the new Windows Apps doesn't allow to use" Remote Desktop Services" or "Remote PC", that's a shame to lose these features with a new version.

I definitely don't understand Microsoft is doing this.

Hi Frederic BLIN,

Yes, connecting to Remote Desktop Services (RDS) or using the Remote PC are not supported with Windows App.

You can use the traditional Remote Desktop Connection tool on your Windows PCs that still works for Remote Desktop Services and connecting to remote PCs.

To access Press Win + R and type mstsc.exe to open the older Remote Desktop client.

If you are using cloud services, Azure Virtual Desktop could be a more powerful alternative. It provides a full Windows desktop experience, but it does require Azure infrastructure to manage.
