I received a maintenance notification from Azure asking me to deallocate a VM, but I'm getting an error message stating that 'Operation 'deallocate' is not supported for VMs or VM Scale Set instances using an ephemeral OS disk.' How can I perform the deallocation in this case?

    Hi,

You can't deallocate VM with ephemeral OS disk. You have to delete it and then re-create it.
