Hello,

What is the proper resolution to add additional locations for azure cosmod db deployment?

Hello Ian Brigmann,

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

You need to choose a supported region for your deployment.

Choose one of the available regions listed in the error message. Some options include:

westus

eastus

centralus

northeurope

westeurope

southeastasia

japaneast

Hello,
Regions do not show outside of the two regions that return the same error message included in the original post. Is there somewhere I need to enable additional regions?

If you are not seeing any regions available for your Azure Cosmos DB account, it is possible that your subscription does not have access to those regions. You can check if your subscription has access to the regions by going to the Azure portal and navigating to the "Subscriptions" blade.
From there, select your subscription and then click on the "Resource providers" link. Look for the "Microsoft.DocumentDB" resource provider and make sure it is registered for all the regions you want to use.
If it is not registered, you can register it by clicking on the "Register" button. Once the resource provider is registered, you should be able to see the available regions for your Azure Cosmos DB account.
