I purchased a product key from one of your authorized resellers. I put it into the Microsoft Setup Office - Redeem Token page and chose the 64-bit download option. OfficeSetup.exe was downloaded. I began the installation, but I received this error message: "This product can't be installed on the selected update channel. Please contact your system administrator and try again."
I don't have a system administrator (outside of myself) for my personal Windows 10 laptop, and I no longer have a previous edition of Office on my laptop. I even used an uninstaller that got rid of files left behind after the uninstallation.
No matter what I do, I cannot get past this error message. I saw another person who had this same question in 2023, but the "solutions" only related to an already-installed product. I'd really like to use Office 2021 Professional Plus and not have to go to OpenOffice. And I don't like the idea of losing money for a product key.
