How to fix my shared datasource when I cannot find it?

My shared datasource was set up before I began to work with SSRS. I have reports that run well except when I change them in production they do not accept the current shared datasource any more. What do I do to fix this so I can modify a SSRS report in production?

    Hi @Melvin, Sylvia (NIH/NIEHS) [C],

Not clear about your meaning of finding the shared datasource.

However, in your situation, your requirement is modifying the SSRS report in production environment.

You could try with below method:

Create a new shared datasource which has the same name with your previous shared datasource and publish it to your report server.

And then upload your report to the report server as well.

After that, you could open your report on the report server and edit with Report Builder.

    Regards,

Pretty easy, edit report properties => datasource to point to the Shared DataSource on your productive server.
