I cannot deploy a MySQL Flexible database to US EAST

As the title says. Everytime I go to deploy a MySQL Flexible database to US East it fails to deploy. It says to select another region but that service is available in US East according to MS's website which is confusing. How can I resolve this? Error:

Provisioning in requested region is not supported. (Code: ProvisionNotSupportedForRegion)

    Yes, you are correct, Azure Database for MySQL Flexible server is available in US East.

    But some Azure regions including US East may experience increased demand for resources, which can limit the creation of new services in that region.
