SharePoint 2010 workflow duration time

If an approver did not respond to an list item approval in SharePoint 2010 workflow, how long it will stay as in progress. Is there any expiry time like 30 days or 90 days etc.

    Hi @Sajith Gopalakrishnan Hema ,

    It will always stay as “In Progress” until the approver responds to the task.

    In the 2010 OOB approval workflow, we can set the duration of each task to 30 or 90 days to control the expiry time of the task , as shown below:

    When a task expires, a second alert email will be sent to the “Assigned to” user.
