Yes, Your organization's admin needs to add your external email as a guest user in Microsoft Entra ID.

You'll receive an invitation email to accept

Once accepted, you can use your non-Microsoft email to sign in

The URL format will be: https://login.microsoftonline.com

For azure vm access you'll need to be granted appropriate role-based access control (RBAC) permissions.

When logging in, use the non-Microsoft email credentials registered with Entra ID. Make sure the correct permissions (e.g., VM User, VM Administrator) are assigned to access the VM. Also, check if Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is required, as this may impact the login process. If access issues arise, confirm that the Azure AD login is enabled for your VM and that the non-Microsoft email has the necessary role assignments in Entra ID.

Ensure you have an active Azure subscription. You must have a non-Microsoft email address that is registered with Microsoft Entra ID. Use your non-Microsoft email to create a new account, or if you already have an existing Azure account, navigate to your Azure subscription>>Access control (IAM)>>Roles Assignments>>Add>>Add role assignment>>give required roles (Admin, Contributor and User)>>Members-select members>>give non-Microsoft email and select>>review + assign.
