Any way to view a photos folder with thumbnails and it not be laggy?

I have a folder with alot of photos, and i want to try to sort all of the photos into diffrent folders, but its hard without seeing the thumbnails, because if i turn on viewing thumbnails the whole folder begins to lag, and i cant really do much

    Hello,

    Sorting a large number of photos without thumbnails can indeed be challenging.

    You can use 3rd party software to help you on this like: Adobe lightroom, google photos.

    Or you can sort in smaller batches, instead of trying to view all thumbnails at once, move a smaller number of photos to a temporary folder, sort them, and then move them to their respective folders. This can reduce the load on your system.
