How to fix win server 2025 std update issue after auto updated from win server 2022 std

Dear Team,

I purchased 16 core Windows Server 2022 Standard and yesterday it was auto updated to 2025 Standard but showing inactive. I tried to activate with the slmgr /ipk and the product key was succesfully installed but after pressing slmgr /ato and receives an error message like this computer is running non core editions.

Kindly help me on this.

    Hello.

    Each version of Windows Server has its own individual licensing requirements, so even for in-place upgrades, you will need to purchase the appropriate license for the new version.

    You will need to purchase a license from Microsoft Store or an authorized retailer to activate Server 2025.
