These settings are in place to prevent abuse and ensure security, balancing the user experience with the need to protect against potential automated attacks.
Have you thought about using authentication apps like Microsoft Authenticator? These apps can provide codes without needing to wait for an SMS or email, and might make this process easier for the user.
