Azure Queue storage can use either HTTP(80) or HTTPS(443) protocols. If you wish for the data to be encrypted in transit you should use HTTPS. We recommend enabling secure transfer required for the storage account. When you require secure transfer, any requests originating from an insecure connection are rejected. Microsoft recommends that you always require secure transfer for all of your storage accounts.
