Biztalk Host Instance dos not restart

Hello,

We have in production a 2 biztalk 2016 farm with a 2 node sql cluster. 15 in-Process hostInstance configured with the same service account are defined on each biztalk. We have just encountered a blocking problem. In the Windows eventlog we have:

  • 13:46:12 A timeout (30000 milliseconds) was reached while waiting for a transaction response from the BTSSvc$ETAT_x64_ProcessHost service.
  • 13:46:43 The BizTalk Service BizTalk Group : ETAT_x64_ProcessHost service entered the running state.
  • 13:48:15 The BizTalk Service BizTalk Group : ETAT_x64_ProcessHost service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 60000 milliseconds: Restart the service.
  • 13:48:15 An error occurred that requires the BizTalk service to terminate. The most common causes are the following:
  1. An unexpected out of memory error.
    OR
  2. An inability to connect or a loss of connectivity to one of the BizTalk databases.
    The service will shutdown and auto-restart in 1 minute. If the problematic database remains unavailable, this cycle will repeat.

And since then it has been running in a loop and the service no longer starts.

To note :

  • Of the 15 hostinstance using the same service account only 1 is affected by the problem, the others are functioning and communicating correctly with the databases
  • On both Biztalk machines, the same service have same problem (same host).
  • A restart of the sql clusters as well as the Biztalk machines does not change anything
