How do i reset the authenticator or get a qr code when it does not give me another method of signing in at all?

hi, I'm trying to sign in on my work email and access some information, it only gives me the option of signing in by getting a code on my authenticator app. however, when i go into my authenticator app, it does not give me the code instead, it asks me the same question by wanting another code. It does not suggest another method at all, otherwise I would've used code by the use of mobile phone. I do not get a qr code or any sort of code on the device i need to access information or on the authenticator app
