Document was on autosave - no information appears

I worked all of last week on a paper draft using Mendeley for the citations. The document was around 6-7 pages.

Today, so three days later, I open it and there is practically nothing. The current version and the older versions I can find on the "view older versions" doesn't contain any of the valuable work I did.

The document was on autosave mode linked to my office/sharepoint work account.

Is there any other way I can find this older version?

Does it have something to do with Mendeley? Today, the plug in is not working.

    Dear Laura Isabel Acevedo Natale,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

We understand that you are experiencing an issue where your document was on AutoSave, yet no information appears. To assist you in resolving this matter, please consider the following steps:

    1. Check Version History

If your document is stored on OneDrive or SharePoint, you can review previous versions by navigating to File > More Options (three dots) > Version History within Microsoft Word.

    2. Verify Third-Party Plugin Interference

    • If you are using the Mendeley plugin, ensure that you have the latest version installed.
    • If necessary, uninstall and reinstall the plugin.
    • If the issue persists, we recommend contacting Mendeley Support for further assistance.

As forum moderators, we do not have access to detailed logs or backend systems due to privacy and security constraints. Therefore, the most effective solution would be to contact Microsoft Support directly.

Next Steps for Office 365 Global Administrators

    • Submit a Service Request: The Global Admin should create a service request with Microsoft Support to receive advanced diagnostics and technical assistance. For detailed instructions on how to get support, please refer to: Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn.
    • Find Your Microsoft 365 Admin: If you are unsure who your Global Admin is, guidance is available here: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support.
    • Call Microsoft Support: For additional assistance, find the appropriate contact number at: Customer service phone numbers - Microsoft Support.
    • Contact a Reseller (if applicable): If your Office 365 subscriptions are managed through a federated partner or reseller, and the Global Admin cannot open a service request, they should contact the reseller’s support team. The reseller can assist in initiating the request and coordinating with Microsoft Support.

    Important Notes:

    • If you are an end-user, please coordinate with your Office 365 Global Administrator to complete these steps.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation.
