We develop an add-in that creates various charts in Excel. It works fine on all versions of Excel from 2007 to 365, except for Excel 2016 version 16.0.5xxx.1000. It seems to be specifically the Excel 16 (not 365) version ending .1000. I cannot reproduce the problem in Excel 2016 versions ending .1001, so I assume it's fixed.
Two questions:
1) How can I get hold of that exact version? I have a license for Excel 2016 (standalone) but it's version 16.0.4266.1001. I need the version ending .1000. Can Microsoft provide a link to download so I can install and activate using my product key?
2) Has anyone experienced a similar bug? We output various series and in many cases apply formatting at the point level, or line segment between points level. Diagnostic tracing is showing the series is output correctly, the changes to the point are applied properly, and Excel reports the properties for each point have been set properly. But then the output is incorrect. Anyone else seeing this? We have thousands of users so we do see a lot of different Excel versions and almost every little Excel bug :-/
