MS Authenticator RDP hang

MS Authenticator hangs when doing RDP if I don't click the stupid approve link and or press my finger just right against the Pixel 3A fingerprint sensor. Then I have cancel and wait 5 or so minutes to try again. Gigantic PITA.

There isn't a prompt to enter a code for RDP like there is for other Microsoft services. Is there some way to do RDP authentication via text or email?

    Hi,

    What software are you using to RDP?
    What's the OS Version of your local PC and remote PC?
    What was the normal behavior when doing RDP before the issue occured?
