First of all I wanted to report my disappointment regarding current Microsoft policies. Two days ago without my explicit request, totally without my knowledge, my PC installed the Win 10 2004 version by itself. My previous version was
Win 10 1909. The update was successful and there and then everything seemed fine. Yesterday morning I started using my usual applications, and the problems started. First of all the sound card stopped working. Motu UltraLite mk3, is a high-end card that until today has always excelled. I tried everything it is impossible to show it to Win 10, disappeared from the system. Also, the Steinberg Cubase 6.5 program started giving me an error, related to an insufficient privileges to run the eLicenser (license verification) program. But in general the system became slower to respond to commands, a general sense of heaviness. Lucky Microsoft has provided the feature to revert to the previous version! I did and within minutes my PC was as fast as before and everything worked as before perfectly! I would therefore like to alert all Microsoft users with an older PC like mine (mine is based on I5 2500K, 16GB RAM, SSD HDD, Gigabyte Z68 series motherboard), which in my opinion, unless Microsoft seriously provides check the functioning of all the hardware in circulation today before producing an update (which unfortunately I guess impossible), to stay away from updates after version 1909, stable and efficient for me. I would also like to urge Microsoft to make users decide if and when to make a major operating system update (like this one to 2004, where I suppose the code has been heavily modified, to create all these problems!), And absolutely avoid automatic updates. Thank you.
