Unable to remove resource group as a "not-active" resource throwing error

Hi Team, I am unable to delete a resource group in Azure due to it having a "Not-Active" resource(Event Hub Namespace). While trying to delete the resource or resource group, below error is being received.

Tried deleting it via CLI and faced same error. Also tried deleting it from Azure Resource Manager using a delete API call to ARM and it showed succeeded there, but is still listing the resource there and in portal as well. Please advise the best way to delete the same.

Thanks for reaching out. As mentioned in this document, seems like some active operation is being done on your eventhub namespace . As recommended could you please wait until the current operation completes, and then retry. Please retry after sometime and see if the issue auto resolves.

Incase if you the issue persist consistently, please let us know. We can have a deeper look into it.

There' wasn't any process going on with the namespace. It got stuck while getting created in "not-active" state due to certain timeout while getting deployed via a Terraform script. This "namespace" was the only resource in the resource group and its "not-active" status wasn't allowing it to be deleted.

Could you please make me understand what possible change this "namespace" would've gone through over the night as it got deleted first thing today. How does Azure Resource Manager helps these resources. And also why would Azure resource Manager(preview) under link https://resources.azure.com/subscriptions would show a success message even after it ran a failed attempt to delete it via a API call.

Hi Team,

The issue got resolved by itself. As per my understanding Azure Resource Manager had some issues while deleting the namespace or the resource-group containing the namespace as it was continuously throwing error code 429. Later that day I was able to delete the resource(while it was still being not-active).

I don't possess an active support plan as of now and will reinitiate this thread if i face similar issue in future. Thanks for all the help..
