Azure - Event Hubs User Permissions Issue

We are relatively new to Azure and are trying to test out event hubs to see if it could be a viable solution for us. The problem is my user has full owner permissions to the event hubs namespace and instances under it; but yet I cannot view the test messages I'm sending to the instance. My boss who is the main Azure account user can see them, this tells me it must be a setup issue with my user. I'm just confused why if I have full permissions I cannot see them. Does anyone have any ideas. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

@ttew You also need to have "Monitoring Reader" Permissions as EH Data Owner only provides permissions for Event Hubs and the below metrics are not coming from EH service.

Once you have required permissions you should be able to see the events on Dashboard. I have checked it in my environment and it works as expected.
