Hi,

I am trying to perform the steps directly after capturing reference image (after creating .wim file). Is it possible to do this?

Problems that have occured:

  • Windows cannot be started to continue the next steps on the logged in user, all the time when I add an extra step at the end of the Capture Task Sequence, the step is executed in WinPE (how to reboot into Windows not into WinPE?).
  • after the end of Capture, the user has the autologon turned off

Best Regards

    Here is my Capture OS Task Sequence (MDT v8456):

    I have a problem that after successfull completion of this TS, I wish to execute some of powershell script in directly Windows, rather than Windows PE.
    When I added Restart computer step in TS, computer reboots into Windows PE rather than Windows itself.
    When I execute Powershell scripts in this TS it also executes in Windows PE.

    My question is that how to after this TS execute Powershell script in Windows?

    @kwiateki

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

    How to reboot into Windows not into WinPE?

    We could add an restart step after capturing the reference image.

    After the end of Capture, the user has the autologon turned off.

    It's recommended that we could set the image capture step in last step of the task sequence. When capturing the reference image, it runs Sysprep, and then restarts the computer to the Windows PE boot image specified for the task sequence.
    For more details, please refer to the ninth step of this Microsoft article:

    Have a good day!
